Six new Scania Super series vehicles hit the roadfrom 1st August 2022 as the first of this model to hit the UK market.
The vehicles will be utilised from both our Middlesbrough depot and our customer site in South Wales.
The vehicles have high capital costs, but return the best fuel consumption available on our work profile so have reduced running costs and a reduced carbon footprint. The Scania Super series is a totally new engine and driveline which can run on Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO) so they are future proof as we move toward a reduced carbon future. HVO is a synthetic diesel alternative that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 90%, NOx emissions by as much as 27% and PM emissions by as much as 84% (all compared to coventional diesel) - all of which are key components in achieving improved air quality.
We have another four of these vehicles on order for Q2 2023.
